The Dairy Calf and Heifer Association (DCHA), in partnership with Elanco Animal Health and Vita Plus Corporation, featured world renowned artist Bonnie Mohr and her newest painting, "Enchanted Pastures" at the annual DCHA conference. This art was the result of the sponsors' consignment and request to capture the essence of raising dairy heifers.

"We were thrilled to work with Bonnie Mohr on this project," said Roger Imdieke, president of DCHA. "Bonnie's work continues to capture the admiration and hearts of those involved in production agriculture."

"This was a special opportunity for us," added Steve McGinness, Senior Sales Representative with Elanco Animal Health. "As a member of the association's founding charter, Elanco has enjoyed many opportunities to support the dairy calf and heifer industry through DCHA's leadership," he continued. "Co-sponsoring this painting was another way for us to proudly support a new initiative for an industry sector in which we strongly believe. The collective quality brands represented in this effort - Bonnie Mohr, DCHA, Vita Plus and Elanco made it a good fit," McGinness stated.

"One of our core values at Vita Plus is Quality," noted Katie Grinstead, Vita Plus calf specialist. "Bonnie Mohr's art has always done a wonderful job showcasing our industry and its positive attributes. Working with DCHA is an important way for Vita Plus to support a specialized sector that continues to flourish and be of great importance to the dairy industry," Grinstead added.

The special unveiling was held Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at the combined DCHA conference and the Central Plains Dairy Expo welcome reception. The original painting will be a proud asset of the DCHA and prints are available for purchase through The Bonnie Mohr Studio by calling 800-264-6647 or visiting the website at http://www.bonniemohr.com/. A portion of the proceeds will go to the DCHA to advance member programs.
